Help!! How can I stop SWMBO scuffing and curbing my 20inch rims

Today was a doosie actually took a chunk off the tyre!
Would changing from 255/50/20 to 265/50/20 being a fatter tyre at least save the rim?
Or is this just life and a bitter pill I have to swallow?

    285 50 would help a little.

    Nope mate. You’re cooked!!!
If they can’t judge you have no chance as the rubber flexes enough to hit regardless.

Have a look at this stuff:

If they can’t judge distance properly you’ll never stop it...

The other common one is “touch parking” into kerbs which costs them money in wheel alignments.

    Thanks...

I had a wisdom tooth extracted today but the sound of the rim on the kerb was more painful!

Can drive over as many curbs as you like with Compomotives and 285 60 18s though hehe.

i feel your pain.. only way is to get 18's with more sidewall.

also some tyres have a "rim guard" which is a lip protrusion that runs around the tyre at the wheel edge. might need to look into those (after you fix your wheels)

If this is what a standard kerb can do what will they look like after a rocky crawl as such!

The tooth extraction cost $250 was expecting to have two teeth out so the over $250 might buy me 3/4 of a new tyre...

    I read 285/50/20 would rub?

5 compo rims and tyres $4k to $5K I guess?

I could have bought a TDV6 $5K less than the SDV6 HSE which could have piad for new wheels...

    What about these
