    Disco 3 Bonnet struts

So I get back from 2 weeks in the US and lift the bonnet on the D3 and it drops down and bangs me on the head!!!!
I've looked on fleabay and can see them from $40 to $60, does anyone have any recommendations on what has worked for them?? I'm sure I can go to the stealer and pay hundereds.
    Thanks all
    Alan

PS I'll share some of the goodies I bought back a little later.

i went to the local place that sells struts , got a set to suit Nissan patrol , same some , higher rating and half the price . When I get home from work I will get the number off the struts . Easy fit and heaps better with the extra weigh retention .

cant remember the price but it was a lot less than anything I had seen advertised.

I don't know whether it's still available but years ago I had the struts on my old Camry hatchback re-gassed. Worked a treat.

    Disco 3 Bonnet struts

I got some for our old Commodore and some for my mums Barina off these guys. I think they run an eBay store as well and were the same price from memory. Home delivered within days from ordering.

I went to take a photo but there is no info on them at all. I did post about it when I replaced them and I am sure the replacement ones I got were for a Nissan Patrol. They are the same length but they are a bit higher pressure .
I just took 1 off and went to the local bloke who sells struts and he had them on the shelf. He did say he could get me the L/R ones but I could get the 2 he had for less than the cost of 1 original.

Also watch out putting tools or parts down on the bottom gas strut mount, as it looks like a recess but is actually a hole, which allows bits to fall into the wheel arch/wing, which is what happened to me when a brass part for my aerial went down there. Obviously not magnetic so I had to retrieve it using a hot glue gun!
