    Here’s one for suspension gurus

I just had my D3 in at my landrover mechanics where he did some work, and I asked him to reset the suspension Heights to standard as my car has always seemed ass high compared to my sons D3. I have a nanocom but I couldn’t make any adjustments to it.

He said he tried but it comes up with “suspension is locked for safety reasons”, only 3mm allowed. The car is sitting about 30-40mm higher at rear than it should. He can’t unlock it. There are no faults coming up when tested or used.

I rang a lr dealer service dept and they were about as helpful as usual....

Any of the brains trust shed any light on this.

    Cheers

    Hey Kev,
    Need a bit more information..
How long have you had the car and I assume it has always been at that height??
As I'm sure you are aware, +/- 3mm is the tight tolerance mode used for wheel alignments. However if it was in TTM you would have a red suspension light on the dash...
It's very unusual for it to be difficult to change the height as there are whole range of tools that can do that by anyone.
    Your mechanic is an indi?
Personally I'd be sending a PM to graeme on this site.
