Check your Extended Warranty

I had need to contact my nearest dealer in Orange NSW, regarding a small warranty matter. I received a reply from them that my vehicle's warranty had expired on 29/6/2017.
Needless to say I was concerned. I deliberately brought my vehicle during June 2014 as Land Rover were during that month offering full Land Rover Extended Warranty on all vehicles sold in June that year. Getting 5 years/ 200,000km was a nice bonus.
I contacted Land Rover assist. My extended Warranty details were not recorded against my vehicle and they had to go searching for them. They initially said that it was only an "Alliance" 3rd party warranty even though my documentation I received from Land Rover as the Extended Warranty certificate was dated 17/7/2014 stated that it was full Land Rover Warranty.
They eventually agreed that I was correct and it was a Full genuine LR warranty and my details have been updated. This is helpful for any warranty matter in the future but I soon realised that if Land Rover had not recorded correctly my Extended Warranty, then I would have no roadside assist either. I am very grateful that I did not break down at Cameron Corner out from Tibooburra in late July this year. I may have had a bad time in getting roadside assistance if I hadn't filed away my Extended Warranty Certificate. I was not carrying it with me in the car at the time. I had assumed that Land Rover Australia might actually keep decent records.
If any of you have extended Warranty I think I'd check with Land Rover to see that it has been correctly listed against your vehicle.
