D3 air con blowing mist from vents

My 2005 TDV6 has a few issues with the air con. It is the base model WITHOUT the climate control air con. Its just a standard on/off type system.

Sometimes it works great, no matter what the outside temp. But recently it has began to act up.

It will stop cooling, but if its turned off for 5 minutes it will work again quite well.

The other day it started blowing mist/frost from the vents but no cooling air. Turned it off for a few minutes and all was good.

The other issue is, sometimes there is a spillage of water onto the wife's feet when she is driving. She complains that it doesn't dare drip on mine!

The carpet on either side of the centre area is sometimes damp.

My understanding of the mist/frost problem is that the condenser is icing over, would explain the wet carpet as well.

The question is what do I do to fix it.

    Regards
    Trevor

You find the drain under the dash, passenger side, centre console. Reconnect it or disconnect it and rod it out to remove the spider living inside. That will fix the water issue.

The drain is to the right of the arrow into the carpet.
