    Adjusting tyre size. Nanocom?

Is it an option to change tyre size in the ecu so speedo is more accurate? And rest of car can adjust.

    275/65r18s and it drives well

Yes. This is done by editing the Car Configuration File (CCF). There is a procedure for this and it takes a bit of time to get your head around it. From memory, there is only a few options for tyre sizes. But I was able to play around and I think I have my speedo reading accurately, but I'm not sure about the fuel consumption data.

You want to adjust the tyre diameter calibration to make the ODO run true. The speedo has another selectable fudge factor on top of this to make it run slightly fast.

Nanocom (and other such tools) are licensed per VIN. So, you either need to get your own one or pay for an additional VIN to be added to a mate's one.
An Indy may be prepared to assist you, but you'd be paying for their time.
IMO, and particularly for someone like you who likes taking their Landy where it is meant to go, I would recommend getting a Nanocom (IID are popular, too, but I don't know anything about them) for a D3/4.

From what I’ve seen here you will get a lot more help as an owner of an iiD tool rather than Nanocom simply because a lot more of us own them. I suspect the iiD offers more functionality and is easier to use for the D3/4 owner but that’s based on observation of forum posts as I have only used the iiD. For example what you are wanting to do has certainly been done easily by iiD but I’m unsure with a Nanocom. I also agree with the suggestion to get your own, the benefits are many outside of CCF changes. Do a search in here, there’s been heaps of threads discussing what can be done by iiD; fault reading, service functions, suspension calibration.

As above. Everything asked for here is in the IID menus I was browsing on the weekend, all available to change to whatever value you wish. From what I’ve seen comparing, the IID is streets ahead.

Nanocom are not VIN locked. Licences are purchased for each vehicle type (ie D4 etc).

Nanocom edits the CCF by downloading the CCF onto the unit then transfering the file onto a PC where it is edited via an online website. The edited file is then uploaded back to the vehicle via the Nanocom.

Thanks Chris. In that case, Lockee, why not come over and we'll see what we can do?
