Naviplus Android Auto and Apple Car Play
Its not a replacement unit, simply a way of syncing your Android to Android Auto and Iphone to Apple Car Play

Jyep, it was about the android replacement system, this is different. (If you are talking about the post by crafty) This does not add android to replace your entire LR product butt instead adds the android auto or Apple car play interface to your existing system that is a direct cable connection to your phone system
Ah ok sorry. I was looking at the unit you mention and confused my old head. I was interested in it for the ApplePlay side of it but it’s not that from what I can see. Seems to talk about mirroring functionality only, aka airplay type thing, not true Apple CarPlay. That’s my take from the Apple perspective. Not sure if they’re doing android better.

I had these guys install the 7" screen on my 2010 Disco 4. Feel free to ask any question about the system.
The original query was regarding the version that does not include a screen but rather splices into the factory display by hijacking the nav function on the newer system 2013 or 14 onwards. Other threads have covered the options for older models.

I spoke to these people again, the actual Sales Manager is back on January 16 but its a one connection solution (USB to Phone) and works as thus;
For Android
Uses all the systems they provide PLUS you plug into your 3.5 jack OR Multimedia interface between their system. (not to your phone)
Your Android phone simply USES the provided additional USB port and when you plug it in, you do two things
1. Ensure AUX is selected as your source in Music
2. Choose the Android Auto option under Nav
EVERYTHING THEN HAPPENS ON YOUR MAIN SCREEN INCLUDING THE PHONE FUNCTIONS (IE LEAVE YOU PHONE OUT OF THE WAY)
For Apple
Uses all the systems PLUS you plug into Multimedia interface between their system. (if you don't have this interface you are basically connecting via Bluetooth for Audio function, no biggie here, that how i do it for android now)
Your Apple phone simply USES the provided additional USB port and when you plug it in, you then do two things
1. Ensure AUX is selected as your source in Music
2. Choose the Apple Car Play option under Nav
EVERYTHING THEN HAPPENS ON YOUR MAIN SCREEN INCLUDING THE PHONE FUNCTIONS (IE LEAVE YOU PHONE OUT OF THE WAY)
Of course, I will check this is ACTUALLY correct when the guy gets back on the 16th. I will see if he can do a video on it for us. They are happy to do a group buy.
