    Vehicle went for service today.
Reported the problem MLR service dept.
Report back is driver side front height sensor faulty, so that wheel is sitting 20mm higher than the other side.
Need parts so should be done Monday.

I was give a RR Sport as a loner for the day.
    I ask if a D5 was possible.
They found one for me and I changed over this afternoon.
So I have a D5 to drive over weekend.
    Cheers Vin

So I made up a loop back plug thanks to Graeme's instructions.
    Worked a treat.

    Final report from LR.
    Driver side height sensor faulty.
On replacement they notice passenger side still low.
On inspection, height sensor not working.
Further inspection found Top Control Arm bent 90 deg.
    Nearly touching shocker.

I ended up driving D5 for 5 days whilst waiting on parts etc.
Expensive service with new front discs and pads, front suspension bits etc.

Very happy to be back in D4

I suspect damage was done last July playing on Big Red.
I did hit a pot hole hard at the base.
I have since found a cracked alloy wheel.

    Cheers

    New member suspension fault- Bump

    Vtwinmad
    Hi
Hi all I registered with aulro last year but I haven’t had much trouble with my D4 until recently
Ive had a recurring suspension fault code pop up. I can’t post this in the disco 3/4 section I don’t know how to
I live in gympie and the local LD guy here replaced the compressor as it showed a fault and the fault showed again so he replaced the rear valve body and it still did it so he downloaded new software as mine looks like it originally had a hitachi and previous owner had it replaced with a no name brand and now it has a AMK now the fault is coming up more often
U2000-67 (6C) motor temperature - algorithm based failure - signal incorrect after the event
C1A13-64 (AF) pressure does not decrease when venting gallery - algorithm based failure- signal plausibility failure
The first one comes up again and again after I clear the Codes with my IIDControl
    regards
    sean

    Hi Navy,

I have had the same code C1A13-64 for the past 8 months and haven't been able to find the issue, so will be interested to see what the outcome is.

    cheers
    Geoff

If originally fitted with a hitachi and you replave with an AMK, you need to tell thr car via software update, others on here know much more about that than me. Was the compressor replaced with a new one or s/h? Would pay to check or have your mechanic check the dessicant drier as these block over time as the dessicant loses its ability to soak up moisture, turns to dust and ends up blocking the system - note the exhaust valve blocked error.

Note the Hitachi units are fully rebuildable, the rebuild kits are around 150 aud and include a new drier cover out of aluminium, as the plastic ones crack and leak, so that the compressor works overtime to keep pressure up, the motor then overheats and the thermistor (temp sensor) in the motor trips it to avoid cooking the motor windings.

Dont know about the AMK apart that there are cheapo knock offs that are not lasting anywhere near as long as the OEM should.

Also check all the airlines from the compressor to the tank and tank to valve blocks, the lines can get hard and brittle over time.

    Hope this helps.
