I’d be asking why? Once you know why find out how, then when..
Then change the interaction..
So the suspension compressor has failed. Already upgraded by previous owner to later AMK model.
Has anyone tried a Chinese Compressor?
Big difference in price

1500 vs 500 is the difference and If the $1500 one only last 5 years.....

Failed? Runs but won't build pressure? Pump motor won't run at all? Pump running but no air to suspension? Pump throwing errors?
Lots of stuff I'd be looking at before I spend anything on it.

I got an AMK a month ago from Bearmach $AUD606 delivered to Sydney within 3 working days (but that included a weekend).
RR Sport Discovery 3/4 Air Suspension Compressor AMK Type - Bearmach
Google around and you should be able to find a 10% off price to bring it down to the price I got.
Hope this helps.
When they fitted the AMK was the software upgrade done?
And what are you doing to kill it so quick.
What brand is this chinese model? What is it based on the Hitachi or the AMK?

Oh.
@garrycol - Thanks for picking that up.
Oh well, too late for me. Seems to be going OK for a month or so (which is nothing), and definitely raises suspension faster (compared to the dying Hitachi one) and farts differently. I guess if it lasts 4 years (which doesn't sound unachievable) then it is at least on par for the money. Bearmach also have a 3 year warranty where in the 2nd & 3rd year they send out a replacement.
I am sure it will be fine - at least it is not Britpart.
I recently had the same experience with my Denso alternator - rang a local supplier and he said he had three on the self - 4pm on a Friday afternoon - went to get it and it was a OEX Denso Type (like many other alternators for older cars were a Bosch Type but not actually Bosch) - explained to the guy that he said he had Denso brand - he says yeah this is it - he did not get the difference between Denso and Denso Type - any way need the car back on the road which is was the next day with the Denso Type - and works fine - well made, not PRC Chinese made but Republic of China (ROC) (Taiwanese).
