Where to keep the tow hitch in a D3

I've just taken the tow hitch out of my new second hand D3 and have found where the big lump of cast iron fits, just, but where does the towball bit go?? I've got rear aircon so not much room to spare in that little hidey hole.

Mine came with a bag that clipped to one of the floor tie down points.

ok thanks, that's a pretty agricultural solution. Kind of like the slapped on under dash air con on my defender, very land rover, why can't they just be normal?

I have the piece of foam in the LH rear side pocket but its shaped to fit one of those pommy goose neck shaped balls so no good to me, the tongue i just keep in the 3rd row seat footwell and the mitch hitch stays attached.

Why not leave it in the garage like I do?
I only use it when needed, and I see no point in carrying a heavy lump of metal around all the time.
