    Discovery 4 Facelift Headlight PNs

Been lurking on the forums for a while picking up bits of advice. I'm a new member with a 2011 D4 HSE bought about 6 months ago at 95K kms. Will shortly be going for timing belt and other future-proofing to Ritter Melbourne.

In looking around I've become interested in the later model headlamp with DRLs but am finding some of the options confusing. So, does anyone know of the PNs for the facelift headlights with Xenon and DRLs? Im not bothered about AFS but would like to know those PNs too if possible. or does anyone have any further advice on this proposition?

Oh and what's the word on the GAP IID? Seems the one to go for or Nanocom?

    Hi Sol.

Not sure which model lights you're after but here's one thread that may help.

    2014+ Facelift Xenon headlights/grill enroute

I had a Nanocom and sold it to a member here as I needed the convenience and speed for changing height down to bump stops that the GAPIID bluetooth version gave me. From what I have read they are both good tools. IMOH having the bluetooth connection to my phone makes the GAPIID a better option. Others will no doubt chime in.

I purchased what you're chasing from this eBay seller:
Land Rover Discovery 4 Xenon Headlights UK Spec LR052377 LR052386 | eBay

This seller is also reputable but was more expensive when I was investigating 2years ago:
Great deals from Eurowagens Ltd on (headlight, headlamp) | eBay Shops

The LR part numbers are LR052377 & LR052386 but sometimes they are sold under the OEM (Valeo) part numbers.

No point getting AFS because you would also need the extra control module, which is harder to source and expensive.

    Cheers,
    Scott

That sounds pretty much like what I was contempalting. Thanks so much for the offer and I will PM accordingly.

I've already come across the vendors LRD414 refers to and slightly put off by the cost but we shall see. Also came across the post letherm refers to. So much useful stuff on here.

Yeah the lights are super expensive, particularly if you want the Xenon with DRL like I did..
The grill you can get now for about $300 (aftermarket), I bought a genuine one and got it sprayed black which cost a bit more though.

you can get away without upgrading the bumper, its only noticeable to those who know what to look for. I did the lights and grill first and later the bumper, you can get these cheaply from members who install bullbars. I got mine for a case of beer and sold my old one for a case of beer so it effectively cost me nothing.

Decision made - charging system fault came on last week. Funds now diverted to alternator and battery for the time being

Going to Ritter in 2 weeks for timing belt and auto service so looking like an expensive end to the quarter!

Any tips on removing and replacing the alternator? Cable connections sound a bit of a PITA.

Been away for a while but recently scored some Xenons with DRL and looking forward to getting this done now. Changing the rear lamps to the facelift versions too.

Also had one cracked rim and another buckled so picked up some RR Supercharged 9.5inch (powder coated satin black) and after a lot of investigation went with Nitto G2 Terra Grapplers in 285/55 20.

Wouldn't a 2011 HSE have bi-xenons? I optioned these on my 2011 SE and found them great.
