    Ashtray jammed shut

    It’s funny mine actually came with a ciggy lighter on the left side but no ashtray (just the sliding tray) and the 12v socket on the right!

    Neither of my 12v sockets will take a lighter. They’re the slightly smaller diameter units for power only.

    As for “from that generation” so am I ... it’s called keeping up with the times Ashtray jammed shut

    Now back to your problem...

    The packing tape works, even better if you can get the car on a steep driveway facing nose down.
