Thread: Discovery 4 timing belt and oil pump advice

Hi all. Just after some advice for the oil pump. My parents are looking at a 2010 2.7 Disco 4. It has 150000km on it and will be due for new timing belts. My question is, Will the oil pump with the upgraded tensioner mount be fitted, or advisable to change pump regardless?
I would just like to have all the required parts before doing the job. Thanks.

The oil pump housing the tensioner attaches too was updated after MY08.

Usually change water pump while you have the chance at same time.

Also the plastic coolant junction piece at top of engine that is prone to failure from 7 years.
