The RFI Industries city/county pack looks interesting, since city usage is part of my usage, as is freeway / long distance travel.

SubscriberI've had same antenna as you (Lazer) for approx 3 years and am happy with it.
My concern with the less flexible antennas is fatigue from corrugations, which I have seen happen even with the spring base.
The spring base tends to be too stiff to damp the vibrations enough.
