    Brake booster vacuum hose

    Hi All
Can someone tell me if the replacement vacuum hose p/no LR019703 is an easy fit to a 2005 disco 3 it looks like there are extra hoses attached to it from the photos I have seen. I am stuck out in the bush at the moment with a booster (new) full of oil and have been told the part number is part of the fix. I can drain out the oil easy enough

Hi. Yes. Just did it. No special tools required, just little delicate hands. Remove the engine cover and all will be revealed. You can just clean them out in solvent or such as an interim. They have qd with push sides. I didn't change the ball and spring coz I couldn't grasp it and was in the bush! That for later. I'm also about to fit a catch can.

Oil in the brake booster is an indication that the "one way" valve is a problem. I do not know if this comes with the replacement hose

    Thanks
The hose on it now, does not have a non return valve, just a hose straight from the booster to the vacuum pump. I will order a new one that seems to have a non return valve and two other hoses coming off it. they may just form a loop but the photo does not show the whole thing. I will get it sent to Leonora PO, and get some solvent while I am there . Would metho do the job cleaning out the booster or would petrol be better

Whoa! If I am understanding y'all, you are suggesting your chariot has not had the brake vacuum recall done. Am I right? If so, wheel it into your local lr dealer and insist.

I'm not currently able to assist, but do a quick search on this forum for brake recall. There are plenty of posts and advice. I think from memory it was a 2009 recall.
