    Fyrlyt Nemesis 9000

Finally got around to installing these bad boys before a trip to Cairns.

So glad I did, had a few close encounters with big grey roo's that may have ended nastily had i not had good lighting.
I made up a couple of plates for a flat mounting surface for the converters to the underside of a body cross member in front of the radiator. Four riv-nuts each; two countersunk under the converter and two for the rear mounting holes of the converter through the plate, leaving a clear space for two bolt/nuts to the remaining two converter mounting holes.

A little bit of thread lock and i don't think they will be going anywhere.

Mounted them to the sides to keep away from the winch and radiator airflow. You can just see the top of the plates in this pic.

I tapped of the ARB twin compressor 40A fuses for the power supply. I don't think i'll be using both at the same time and my positive battery terminal is pretty full as it is!

I used a small push-button switch I got from Jaycar (250V-3A, so good for approx. 25V-3A or 12V-6A)installed next to the light switch. It's very easy to find and i can feel whether they are on or off dependant on free play in the switch.

I have them both set on spot beam, right side adjusted slightly outwards and they light up the road and verge from about 100m to 500m very well, with my main area at about 200-300 lit up like daylight. They actually light up trees to about 900m and a roadside diamond shaped yellow warning sign, which i though was an oncoming car was lit up at 3kms. The reflection from the signs can be annoying, but it's only for a couple of seconds.

One of the lenses has three cracks in it, which has been mentioned on here in another thread, but just spoke to Dave from Fyrlyt, who is sending me out two new replacement ones today and he told me they were in the final stages (a few weeks away) from replacing the current poly-carbonate lenses with a new boroscilicate glass lens, supplied as a free warranty replacement. They have had haphazard issues with some of the poly-carbonate lenses, so they are hopefully about to resolve that once and for all. Can't argue with that for good business practice.

All up, I'm very happy with another great product fitted to this awesome vehicle!

Clean install similar to where I mounted the converters.

I used the single holes left from the bull bar fitment. Drilled the appropriate hole for the other end, fitted a nutsert and bolted them down.

Cheers and welcome to the Campfyr!
