    D3 Height Sensors

    Hello,
Am I correct in ascertaining, after some reading and research, that the D3 uses 4 different height sensors? That is, a different one on each corner?

So.....when packing spares, I guess all 4 are needed?

    Crazy design.

You are right there are four. You only need to pack a front and a rear as they’re the same across axle. The likelihood of you damaging both on one axle isn’t high.

Cheers, I may have mislead y'all!
Going by part numbers, I deduced they was all different.
Interestingly, I would have assumed they'd be the same diagonally, not across axles.

    Cheers Again.

I just received the set I ordered from Advance Factors in the UK . Yes they all have different part numbers and I ordered the set of 4 , can in a box about the same size as the fuel filter box , you wouldn't have any issue finding space for them. They were the only place I could find that sold them as a set and less than the cost of 2 locally .

    cheers Ean

Hang on one minute! I’m sure I read you only needed one of each! (Off to find the thread and look at the car)

D3 have for different sensors. One for each wheel.
D4 changed to one type per end like you describe.

    My warped mind!

    No, not really.

Just was thinking geometrically actually. Stuff (not just LR stuff) often fits if both rotated and flipped (inverted). Think Ikea!

Nothing more than that. In this case, it doesn't work lol.

Oh well. Better buy all 4.

    Cheers

No worries. You only need 2. 1 front, 1 rear...
They’re the same on both sides at each end.
