    Steering Wheel Audio Controls

    Hi all,
Managed to source a right hand steering wheel audio control for my D3, and installed it today, amongst a few other odds and ends. Seems to work fine, except the mode only switches between FM & CD, not Am or Aux (this is the 6 CD stereo in an SE Disco 3).
Is this normal operation? Seems a bit odd.

From memory mine only selects the last radio band I was on. So if it was digital, then pressing the mode button will flip through the sequence but when radio comes up it selects Digital. If I want to select AM or FM, then I have to use the centre screen or (I think) voice activation.

Yes that is correct - only changes between radio and CD - not the other functions. Another brilliant design idea from LR - Not.

The OP has an early D3 not a very late D4 - completely different.

I did try yelling at the bastard but it didn't help.

Thanks all! I won't spend any more time on this mystery. Plenty more to puzzle over.

Does anyone know if the RHS audio controls will fit a 2008 D3. Have seen some used controls advertised for 2005-2007. Looking to buy new. I’ve emailed a couple of UK online stores but have not heard anything.

    Thanks
    Sean

I don't know about the 2008 model, but it was no drama fitting it to a 2006 model with the basic radio (1 CD, no multiple discs)
Not fussed about not being able to change all modes - it does the volume, and I'm happy with that.
