Question Discovery 3 HSE vs Range Rover Sport 2.7L TDV6 models

Anyone able to provide any comments on the L319 Discovery 3 in HSE spec trim compared to a L320 Range Rover Sport of similar vintage, both with the 2.7L TDV6 motor? I understand that under the skin the chassis is shared. I've found limited comparisons on these to, probably because of the different target audience for them.

I'm aware of the differences in body styling and the effect this has on usable cargo space (big win to the D3 here), but what about seat comfort levels and rear passenger space?

What I'm particularly interested in is differences in features/luxury items given that they were both priced in the mid-$80k when new, with the RRS perhaps being slightly higher does it offer anything in addition other than the Range Rover branding?

The standard RRS TDV6 is the povety pack - comes with mid range spec 6 stack radio with sub -woofer in the back. Has full steering wheel controls but outside rear vision mirrors and not heated and do not fold (unless you hit something). Seats have standard leather and are fully electric controlled but are not memory seats.

Headlights are halogens, rear parking sensors only - no front sensors.

Options included satnav and centre command center, full top spec sound system and rear systems, rear e-diff, sunroof, bi-xenon lights, front parking sensors, cornering lights, active cornering enhancement.

Higher spec models like the TDV8, V8 Petrol and V8 Super-charged have higher level specs as standard.

I am not sure what the D3 HSE specifically comes with but overall it is much higher speced over the basis RRS TDV6. The RRS TDV6 is probably speced somewhere around a D3 SE but will have some extras but some things are not there.

If you want standard higher spec in the RRS you need to get one of the V8s.
