I have read on a US forum that they aren't very good and fail much sooner than OEM or genuine struts.

The fronts were running bilstein dampers and my experience with them was they lasted about 10000km.

I know someone that used them as well, they didn’t last long.

OME is the only way to go.

    Interesting.
From what I have been told by someone knowledgeable in the UK there is only one manufacturer in the UK / Europe for struts for the D3 & D4, and correct me if I am wrong but there is no difference between the two vehicles with regards to aftermarket struts.

As an alternative to the Arnotts option I got the full the full set of 4 struts from Advanced Factors in the UK. No problems.

And keep in mind, the US is waaaaaay behind Australia in off-road technology.
