    Rear camera and RWC

    Hi all,

Can anyone with a RWC post a photo of how much the spare on a RWC obscures the rear camera picture? I have a D3 and have put a rear camera in a similar position to the D4, and I’m just to figure out how much the RWC would obscure it.

    Thanks,
    Randy

My RWC blocks about 50% of the vision to the right of the rear of the vehicle so it's back to head turning to check what's about. I don't rely on it anyway except really when backing down the drive into the carport.
But when doing that a few weeks ago and just checking my line on the left hand side with mirror and camera, knowing I'd easily miss the van on my right..... I crunched the steps the cook was using to get in and out of the van!!!
Her fault and I won't have her say otherwise.

Wow ok thanks. I’m more worried about checking for small kids get directly into the path when backing into the garage.

Actually Randy I think it's more like 100% vision lost to the right. But that's not a problem if using both mirrors, neck joint and camera in conjunction.
I always think it's safer to reverse in most places as you can check what's about before going back but when kids are around extra care is needed as they're so fast and unpredictable.
    Good luck.
