Not heard of it on one of these.

Have seen a case where a wasp had made a nest in a tank vent on a Patrol.

    Very rare I’d suggest.

I had mine in a similar environment to the original post, spending a week thundering around in the bulldust in Karijini. And now I'm back in suburbia, I notice it farts when I close the rear right door.
I'll have a poke around this weekend, but I'll probably take it into my indy for a look-see to be sure.

Are you referring to the SLS fart or the tank Bubble?

    That's a good question.
There's a definite fart when I close the rear right door when the car's been parked overnight. It sounds like it's coming from the fuel filler area. I'm not seeing any issues/faults with the EAS.

I imagine an instant noise when closing the door might be this issue, whereas a sound 4-5 seconds after closing will be the suspension system

I've yet to get under and have a look, but I can confirm it's definitely coming from the fuel filler. I gave the panel a thump yesterday morning, and sure enough ... PPPFFFFT!

You are aware that they do hold some pressure right?

Yup. But, it's been in a very dusty environment, and it's only started making that farting noise since its return.

I dont hear any noises from mine, but it took forever to fill the tank yesterday, so much so, that 50 odd lts will do.

Its been getting longer an more difficult to fill in recent months, perhaps i should investigate

You haven’t accidentally tripped the gasoline flap have you? I did this once and didn’t notice the flap was triggered and filling was a pain in the arse.
