Hi Gazco2.

I have the same model. I find that when I connect my phone via Bluetooth to the car the contacts are available automatically from the phone. I have an android phone but presume that it would work with Apple too.

As letherm said, when you pair the phone, it should ask if you want to share your contacts list. Once you OK that, they should be available every time you pair up.

As said when you pair your phone the system will ask you permission to down load your contacts from your phone.

If you can't pair your phone you might find there is too many previous devices already paired to the system. I think there may be a limit of 5 phones which can be paired at any one time.

Don't know specifically if this limit applies to the Discovery but I have encountered this problem when hiring cars.

You may have to tell the system to 'forget' previous phones that were paired by previous owners of the vehicle before the vehicle will accept a pair to your own phone.

The process of pairing your phone is initiated via menus on your phone. The process of 'forgetting' or 'un-pairing' previous phones will be initiated by menus from the Disco system.
