Thread: Drivers seat keeps moving!

Had a BMW that automatically lowered and pushed the seat back when door opened so it was easier getting in or out. Close the door and went back to the predetermined memory seat position. If using my key to unlock the car it used my preferred position, if missus used her key it went to her preferred position.

I think you will find it is a "feature" to give you more room when exiting and entering the car. If you have an electric steering column it will move up as well. I don't know if you can deselect it, you could ask your dealer or if you have an IID Tool have a look through the CCF settings.

I had the use of a Lexus SUV years ago. It did this as well as move the steering wheel. The idea being it gets everything out of the way for you to get in and out of the car. Once you closed the door or started the engine (can't remember which) it moved into the correct pre-selected driver's position.

Are you saying yours moves to a different spot each time?

I should have asked this first .... is this a recent development? As in the car never used to do this? Or are you new to the car?
