Typing those GPS coordinates into Google maps coincides with what the navigation is showing. How can I shunt (?) It towards me?
Hoping someone has had this before and will save me a 330km drive to the dealer.
During our Canning trip I noticed the GPS was getting further and further from our actual location. By the time we reached Yulara, it may as well have been on Mars!
Now the 4WDi screen will show the position moving but the elevation remains at zero and in the Navigation screen it shows the vehicle being somewhere near Alice, even though we live near Katherine, some 1200km away!
Is there a setting or a bit of circle work I can do to get it back on track?
Hope we didn't shake the buggery out of it..
Cheers!

The top photo shows GPS with a red line through it, what does the manual say about that? Could you have turned the GPS off somehow?

Yeah I saw that and can't change it. Even if you press on it, you can't select anything. Nothing through settings either.
Was hoping there was a press this button, turn on ignition, hold your tongue to the left and hop on your right foot type of fix.

I had a very similar thing with my GPS when in Katherine a month ago. Red line through it and as far as the GPS was concerned Katherine didn't exist, no roads no highways in the area and it was like that for 2-3 days. Got it back a few days later with no issues then a couple of weeks later after doing Kakadu, Darwin and Litchfield we headed back through Katherine to stock up before going to Lorrella Springs, the GPS then knew that Katherine did indeed exist.
It has been faultless since so not worried and just goes to show you should not rely on 1 device for navigation. Luckily we had a Hema and paper maps as well
Discovery 1 4.6, true trac front and rear, superior engineering arms, old tourer now bush toy
Discovery 4 3.0 HSE MY13 ECB Bull bar, winch, spot lights, aux fuel tank, Kaymar rear bar, duel wheel carriers, 18 tuff ant wheels 265/65/18 BFG KO2's for play
That picture is by far the best bit of info so far. I think I remember seeing that on the right hand rear side under the plastic cover. I might check it before putting the back seats back in.
We have a shelf and those sun shades for the window, but as mentioned earlier, it was working fine until part way through the south end of the Canning.
As much as it could be Katherine, I unfortunately don't think that it is.
In all, except Ollo Rd in the Douglas Daly and brand new stuff not yet loaded, the system has been faultless and I'm not really sure why people sook about it. It's a bit slow when inputting and stuff, but really it's still pretty good.
Be careful with the paper maps still. We did the Canning on maps between 7 and 11 years old. We know that HEMA did a review around the beginning of 2017 of the Canning, yet they have no intention of releasing an updated map. But having a back up is smart, just need to ensure its relevant and up to date.

So without actually touching anything, it seems to have caught up a bit. Currently it is still around 200m out, but at least it is in the same post code.
The GPS symbol still has a cross through it and the 4X4i doesn't give an elevation reading.
Will keep persisting with it until right.
