    D3 Instrument Cluster Drop Out

My D3 TDv6 09 has what I believe to be the common issue of the dash instrument cluster dropping out all the time. The whole lot drops out then eventually comes back on and at other times just parts of it drop out. Sadly, the odometer keeps clicking over even when not displayed .

I suspect that this is going to be a dry solder or some other power related issue?

I have watched a great YouTube video on removing and dismantling a RR Sport cluster (I assume it is the same) but the PCB looks too detailed for me to resolder safely.

Where in Australia have others had their clusters repaired? Timeframe? Cost? I assume others have had the repair done successfully as a replacement cluster is stupid money!

Yes I have read there is a place over there but that sounds so excessive. Hopefully there is something local....

Through the fault codes -most of them where all canbus related faults. Once the fault was active I couldnt even start the car and the hazard indicators would The sending over bit stuffed me up a bit as I didnt do the customs form correctly and it got held for import duty But once they had it they fixed the issue in around 3 days and I had it back in a bit over a week. Cost - all up including frieght was $760
