Thread: Engine oil level monitor system fault?

Hey guys so i know there is an old thread on this but i have just had this pop up intermittently.
is on when the car is cold then once warmed up it disappears and pops up randomly.

Has anyone had this fault and if so what was the cost on repairs? i have a feeling is going to be expensive.

My D4 came up with an “oil level critically low, stop now” or similar message a couple of times.
It turned out to be a faulty sensor, which was replaced under warranty.
LR made mention that it might be a body off job, but I never found out.
I believe the front diff is removed to do the job, but not certain of that.
Either way, I think it isn’t a cheap job (if that’s what your problem is).
