that's disappointing. did you feed that info back to tuffant? They're a QLD business and I imagine we're their biggest customer base so would be pretty keen to resolve any issues. Unfortunately I have not heard of any other steels made for/fitted to 3.0L D4.Quote:

Firstly, on the lug nuts. These are packed and shipped at the factory and there was a small number of wheels from the last batch that had the wrong tapered nuts. We have had these verified by the engineer they present no issue with these from a safety perspective. That said, anyone that has raised them we have shipped and happy to ship them a new set for free.
Secondly, the hub rings are there to allow for any variation or where on the centre bore and are aluminium. These are only needed if people are having balance issues with some off-road tyres, especially as the tyres get older. Again these are free of charge and have had no one mention this to us of any hub rings being destroyed so weird someone is mentioning it here.
Mostly importantly, those that have dealt with us, know the thing we always put at the top of our list is customer service and stand behind our products on this basis. Like any product from time to time we do have faults, errors or a product that gets through QA, no different from any other product. How we deal will these issues is something we are immensely proud of unlike most vendors that simply don’t care. That is 100% not the TuffAnt way.
We do also improve our product with every shipment, sometimes these are small improvements, sometimes large, and this comes from valued feedback from our loyal customers.
The TuffAnt difference here is we stand by that for our customers. Of course for us to do this we need to here from them directly in the first place that there is an issue so we can assist them in providing a solution. This usually happens quickly but from time to time when we are away testing new products it may take a little time to get back to people but we always do so.
Sadly, in recent times we have been so busy we haven’t been able to contribute to forums like this as much as possible but thankfully a new addition to the staff should assist in this area along with some exciting news on new products coming soon.

My customer has been in contact with Tuffant and was told while they arent a safety issue (I dont believe anyone actually brought this up) they are the incorrect wheel lugs. Apparently they are going to send them new wheel lugs, I believe my customer is waiting on a reply.
Dredging up an old post but I'd be interested to hear how the Toyo's are performing - road noise, any rubbing, spare tyre fit etc. Just bought a D4 with 20 inch rims so will be looking at swapping out to 18 ATs.Quote:

Toyo's quieter overall. Falken's where dead quite for the first 1000km's or so before they developed a mild hum. Nothing too bad but more noticeable than other AT's I've run.Quote:
