I couldn't find any posts about Wesfil filters. Thought I start posting some pictures. I recently bought a Disco 3 and it is time to do some servicing.

I bought a set of filters at really good price to try on the LR Disco 3 TDV6 2008. I always used Wesfil on my other cars with no issues so why not.
I figured these filters are claimed to be built to spec (though minimum) and since:
  • i am not touring,
  • driving mostly in the metro area i.e. not in a red dust environment, and
  • follow the servicing intervals,

these wesfil filters will meet my needs for now. I have just done the cabin air filter and took out an original LR cabin filter.

On comparison you can see the difference from the price point.

The LR ones feel alot firmer (not sure if it is due to the active charcoal layer). The sizing is the same but you notice the flap on the Wesfil is only half sized. This means when installing the filter, had to make sure the flap is fully into the upper housing for a snug fit. Other than that, the Wesfil Filter looks and feels good.

I will post an update in the future of the used Wesfil filter (if i remember).
