						SupporterHi All
Anyone else have the issue of their side mirrors being pushed in towards the doors after freeway driving?
I think the previous owner of my car towed a caravan and probably swapped the mirrors on and off or had an extra mirror attached, because they are very slack.
Any ideas how to fix this? Is there an adjustment or spring that needs replacing...its driving me nuts.
Thanks in advance

Supporteri guess I'm the only one with this prob?
I've not had this issue on any customer vehicle yet, but every time I lock one and watch the mirrors fold in I wonder how long before they will start giving problems
Regards

Never had that issue. Sometimes they shudder a bit when closing, then I give the mirrors a squirt of WD40, about every 3-4 months, right where they pivot, stick the red straw in and a 2 second squirt, wipe off the excess and all good.
they are designed to fold in if pushed by hand, I believe it’s to protect the mechanism, like if someone bumps them in the car park.
I think you are right, if the car had had different mirrors (like the Clearview towing mirrors), then they haven’t reconnected the actuator properly where it meets the mount inside on the door.
By taking of the triangle trim plastic on the inside of the door, then unbolting the mirror from the door, you should be able to reconnect them.
hope this helps,
Cheers
Eric
