Need to check it with a scan tool and see if any errors are logged, i work near Greenvale and happy to use my GAP tool on your car.
This is with Disco 3 4.0 petrol with no history of such behaviour.
The first one happens in half way through a 3km dirt road after the car has rented in amping ground for 2 days. Engine stopped suddenly and I saw mil light came on followed by many other lights on the dash. There was a message I believe something todo with brake light. I should have paid more attention but in haste I tried restarting the car which it did as normal and no faults on the dash.
Happened again in 10 mins later on bitumen in high speed. Lucky I managed to pull aside. Same error msg - which I forgot exact wording...I know...
I opened the bonnet and checked battery and all the connections I can locate and touch. As before car started normally without any indication of fault. I managed to drive 30k to Mansfield and replace the rear breaks light bulbs (15d).
I made approx 200 km since the incident, gremlins haven’t returned yet.
It’s very puzzling. Not sure where to go from here hence asking your thoughts.

U0421
These are all related to lost communication with things
B1A87 battery disconnect

There are 8 codes related to ignition coil

Not that I can see, but I am relying on a genetic odb scanner. Perhaps not reading all codes.
