Yes, I know, done to death, but can't find an answer to my question.
Mine screeched, was cleaned out and worked well for ages.
During a beach run, it started screeching again, I guess full of sand so I wasn't too worried.
After a hosing at home, it worked again for a bit, but then starting acting up progressively more often. I hadn't removed the bungs and flushed at this stage which is probably partly to blame.
Anyhow, after applying - screech, releasing and again applying - screech and releasing, it has stopped making any engagement noises, both mechanical or electrical and faults out.
Various threads have suggested the actuator, but others have suggested re-engaging the cables by doing a physical disengagement.
Or is there a fuse or link that's possibly blown.
Cct diagram suggests there is but I haven't time to look yet.
Thoughts?
Cheers

Cheers Scott,
I only posted the abridged version. Was cleaned and adjusted by the good folk at MR about 3 mth ago and all was in order after that.
Started playing up 'occasionally' after 4 days on Fraser but releasing via the switch when it screeched, and it would apply on the second go.
Then this become every time over the period of a week so I that's when I decided to give the drums a thorough rinse, but not thorough enough as I didn't remove the plastic bungs (doh)!
Worked for a few applications after that then no noises and faults out. Perplexing.
Resetting with IID doesn't help. I can't remember the fault code, but dismissed it as a general code which offered little assistance lol.
Cheers RJ
Okies,
I thought I was doing a good thing by trying out the 'unjam' and 'service/normal' routines for the EPB on my IID Tool.
Well didn't go as planned. Made no difference to the EPB but now the red 'park brake warning' lamp flashes...all...the....time!
Is there a another way to make it stop?
I'm not concerned about the EPB, just want the light to go away lol.
Cheers
Ralph

SubscriberThen fix the issue through a physical service? At that point the EPB will apply correctly and you can reset the fault and then not use it?
