    Fuel leak 2.7td

Hi all, my D3 has developed a fuel leak from the rh cylinder bank. I can't see the leak source from the top yet, but its leaking down the engine and appearing on the rhs underneath. I suspect it may be leaking from a line on the fuel rail, but until I can pull a few things off I can't yet tell. Any suggestions?

Many fires have been started as a result of high pressure misting of already warm diesel floating around the exhaust system and especially the turbocharger ...
Can we all say "flash point"...😲

On the plus side insurance excess is probably cheaper than a repair...

Got to have a decent look this evening, found the leak at cylinder 1 injector return line so only a low pressure leak and at least it's not spraying hp fuel everywhere

Have you ever had the injector out to change the manifold etc, that might explain the leak?

Changed out the injector return lines today, all appeared to go fine until starting it up. While there are now no leaks I'm now getting an injector control pressure to high fault. Tried changing the fuel filter but no go, still the same.

Does that suggest a blockage on the return side causing a pressure spike?
