Great idea.....every thing of mine that is 12v has an Anderson plug fitted.
Unfortunately I’m not familiar with the late discos.
Near the tow bar might be handier in the future.

I received a solar blanket as a present, I want a convenient way to connect to my traxide dual battery set up. I currently have to open the bonnet and battery cover to connect with alligator clips.
Can I just run some cable from battery terminals (one of the batteries, probably aux) to an Anderson plug with a cover mounted somewhere to the front grill? Anything I need to consider?

It's a 2007 D3. Traxide do sell a set-up with anderson connection near the rear, but I didn't get that.
I assume lead to the front is all I need and its closer to the battery. I'll plug solar in with regulator on the outside near the plug.
Assume your solar blanket has a regulator?
If so then you can just connect to the battery and put it anywhere. I have one Anderson plug just cable tied to the battery post on one of my batteries. Another is just tied to a convenient point.
Make sure the wiring is nice and thick. 6mm is good.
