Thread: Oil leak from transfer box

Hi All

has anyone had this before?

It it appears to be leaking out of one of the bolts in the casing.

I recently changed the oil in the transfer box and assumed when I spotted the oil droplet on the bottom that it was coming from either the filler or drain plug which I had to undo for the oil change. However, after cleaning the area it appears to be coming from the one specific bolt and not related to the drains I touched.

I havent tried just toghtening it yet as I don’t have that tool and I’m away for the weekend but has anyone had this leak before? Is there a seal which should be replaced as well?

Not personally but recently saw a similar thing on disco3 uk site. I think they simply shoved some sealant into the hole to deal with it - gasket maker etc. Have a search over there
