    Car Technical Data

I've been following the discussion around manufacturers being compelled to release technical data to repairers to make it easier for independents to fix cars with complex electronics. I'm wondering if anyone in the know here could comment on whether devices like GAP tool etc will have enhanced features in the near future or whether the information will actually flow down that far in the food chain. For some reference ACCC reiterates support for mandatory sharing of car repair information | ACCC

LR has been providing access to a lot of the information via Topix for several years now after initially preventing access by AU logons. I have no problem paying the Topix fee which IMO is very reasonable.
