    Rola titan tray

    Hi All,
Just looking at options, thinking of a Rola tray 1500 x 1200 but not sure on mounting options. I currently have just some Rhino sportz roof racks with a home made flat tray which I bolt on when needed, but I'm doing the high country and not sure of the roof rack (the tray can handle it though) limits and weight of roof top tent plan an awning bouncing around.

Can I put a rack such as the Titan or Pioneer (Similar but would go Titan as it's cheaper) straight on the roof gutter?
Do they come with feet of some sort?
Do I need to buy short rails (not wanting long rails) to mount to?
I'm capable of fabricating brackets if needed, so what options do I have?

    Cheers

The pioneer system is great, comes in both short and long versions. You will need to get the backbone system that bolts to the existing roof points. You need to distribute the load so as to not buckle the roof/damage the mounts.

I went with the full length Pioneer with backbone, couldn't be happier.

    what have I got here??

Just had a closer look at the roof racks and noticed what I think might be short rails?? This setup was on the car when I got it, it looks like it could be rhino short rails and sportz roof racks. Can someone please confirm?
If I were to get say a Rola flat tray or pioneer tray could I bolt it straight on? Or would I need some legs of some sort to suit the car? I would assume with the short rails then the backbone system would not be needed?

    thanks.

I also had the Rola sports bars (3off) along the car roof. I'm pretty sure that the short type pioneer platforms can be clamped to these rola sports bars with the right fitting kit.

My issue is that my Rola sports bars can only take 30kg per set, whereas the backbone system can take a 100 kg

Yeah I can’t find any info on how much my racks hold, I want to put a roof top tent on but am concerned about the weight

Are they a rhino rail or something? I don’t know anything about them. I basically want to know if a titan/pioneer flatrack will bolt straight onto these rails or does it need legs of some sort?

Probably need to remove them and either use the backbone or use legs that bolt directly to the roof, rhino do fittings like that.

They look like Rhino tracks to me. I just fitted them to my RRS along with a Rhino tray. The tracks are what allow Rhino legs to bolt to the roof so yes you'll need legs to fit a tray. Alternatively, as loanrangie says, you can remove the tracks and install the backbone system instead.
