My dealer reckons my extended warranty isn't the best one - yet its the best LR sold at the time. They refuse to change the driver door rubber too. My wife's a lawyer and did some work for most popular truck brand and she read the ACCC report on motor vehicles. She reckons most of the issues with the truck company's warranty owner problems come from the dealers - not from the truck company itself. I suspect dealers make much more when the factory is not involved. And that when the legislation follows the ACC recommended changes, warranty isn't going to mean much. Things that fail earlier than expected life - those are going to have to be paid for by the factory anyway,.
