    No weight rating mentioned?
The Amarok is not as heavy as your D4.
    Just thinkin.

No won't fit, centre hole is the issue, Amarok is 63mm, D4 is 70 something.

BMW X5 2001 to 2006 17" rims will fit the D4 2.7L but not the 3.0l, also they need different wheel nuts.

Tuffant 18" steel rims will fit the D4 2.7l and 3.0l models.
    Cheers Baz.

    Ah so many factors involved..

    18”
    5x120 stud pattern
    920kg or more weight rating
    71.6 bore measurement

Then the trouble is finding one I like, in gloss black,

this is truly a needle in a haystack!

has anyone had experience with professionally painting wheels, did it turn out ok and last?

Powdercoating comes out well, I've seen wheels done by our local Powdercoater(Xgen) they looked pretty bloody good.
    Cheers Baz.

2pac will look good and should last as its pretty tough, also easier to touch up.
