    Can someone identify this sensor

While looking around under the bonnet of my 2008 D3 I noticed some insulation damage on the cables leading to the sensor shown in the photo. It is located behind the left side headlight.

    Thanks

Is it a sensor or a blank terminator for equipment not fitted?

The outside temp sensor is in front of the radiator.

I must admit that just looks like a connector not a sensor to me but maybe it does go to a sensor.

Thanks, for the replies, the insulation on the cable is damaged. I will just tape it up.

I was not sure if it was a temperature sensor, but looked like a dumb spot as air flow would be minimal.

There are small plastic plus in it, so it could easily be a termination that I am not familiar with
