Discovery 4 Hitch - doesn't match shape of polystyrene?

Our D4 is a 7 seater and has the hitch stored in the side.

I've bought a new bike rack and pulled the hitch out to check that the keys etc were there, but had trouble getting the hitch back in as its shape didn't appear to match the cut-outs in the polystyrene holder in there.

Am I right in thinking that the polystyrene in there is shaped to fit the UK tow bar and not the Australian hitch?

The polystyrene on my MY14 is shaped to fit the UK style removable hitch and the Australian/USA style hitch. You have to remove the tongue from the hitch, and there is no storage space as such for the tongue. I’ve managed to sit it on top of the receiver and use the cam strap to hold them both in place.

On my D3 it was only to fit the UK banana hitch, thinking about shaving down the poly to fit my standard tongue.
