I’ve used standard front point a number of times, including in sand with snatch straps.
i’ve had it checked recently and all good.
In Simpson you should be fine, momentum is your friend.
Are you towing?
I’m going thru Simpson in next couple weeks towing Patriot Camper.
Travelling south along Hay River to Poppels and east to Birdsville.

That video has nothing to do with the 'recovery points' as they are not used in that demonstration which is about the strength of the chassis.
The brackets at either end are bolted direct to the chassis not the recovery points which are bypassed.

I’ve snatched my old D3 which was fully bogged in mud including having a 6 inch under mud sawn off root lodged under the bullbar that we did not know about. Broke snatch 2 x brand new straps (8k & 6.5k) and eventually took to double pully winch - only realized the root was there after the bullbar started deforming.
Point of long story is the front center recovery point did not blink - rock solid.
.
I’d love to see the damage from some of those tests!

Photo 1 - initial bog - we just could not get it to snatch backwards and going forward was not an option either as the bog just got worse heading in that direction. When we got bogged the front of the car slid down to the right on the camber and that's where the root jammed behind the bulbar. We had no idea it was there the right hand side of the car was up against the mud bank. We tried to check wheels, underbody we just could not find what was holding it and swimming in that crap was not fun . Right hand drivers side was flooded with that lovely WA smelly bog mud and we were over it. Eventually winched from another vehicle with snatch block, which almost stalled before the root snapped.
Photo 2 - Side view of reshaped bulbar
Photo 3 - This is a picture looking down the right hand side of the car where the root jammed behind the bulbar in the wheel arch.
Anyhow - many years ago and lesson learned.
