    flywheel locking tool

    Hello everyone, anyone know were I can get a flywheel locking tool from for a Disco4, Like this one,
    Or is a make your own job - thanks John

    This is the genuine tool but is pricey

    There are some universal kits on ebay but do not know if the fit a Landrover

    Although I woudlnt recommend it, I have loosened the crank pulley bolt just using the flywheel timing lock tool. The torque is quite high on the crankbolt but the pin on the tool held OK

    flywheel locking tool

    DiscoMikey (reknowned Disco3 visitor and LR Indy) uses the standard EBay generic locking tool to undo the crank pulley as mentioned above. No one other than dealers use the tool shown.

    Most get the standard one off eBay etc. In most cases they need a small filing down to fit.
