I went with “OEM” and didn’t notice a huge (actually any) change in ride. Mine were changed at 220k km. Some say the genuine LR are better so maybe that’s a factor. I didn’t have a huge ride issue other than on one off-road track, the long undulations caused an uncontrolled oscillation that it felt like a pogo. I decided that this was a good indication that they weren’t at their best. Saying that, haven’t driven that track again, so can’t say if that improved. I honestly expected night and day and was surprised to not notice any change. My car had had an easy life, no off-road, so maybe the shocks weren’t in poor condition compared to some.

I have clunks in the running gear. The clunk is different than the LCA noise, seems like the top and bottom bushes of the suspension. Especially noticeable on corrugations. We do a fair bit of towing as well. It’s not affecting handling as yet, but will need to get it sorted.

    Replace your sway bar bushes.

Replaced the front only so far, only reason being that the right airbag was separating front the housing causing it to drop further than the other side, so we replaced both, rear are still good, car has done 220k 90% towing with 50/60%off road, the cars been around and done it all, no soft stuff for this D4.
    Cheers Baz.

Replaced all 4 (strut and bags set as one) and have to say, the car has a much better ride now.

Very happy with the result. Guess I'm keeping this one for another 9 yrs now ha ha.

Through my local LR mechanic. I asked for OEM.

Feels like a new car again.

I reckon for the small $ also do sway bar bushes for the full reset assuming lower control arms in good condition.
