What oil and spec are you running - do you know exactly? Oil viscosity can have an impact on oil running temps as it makes the engine work harder to pump it around. Interestingly while higher viscosity can provide additional protection, it can have the opposite effect if it’s causing the engine to be hotter and work harder.Quote:

The hottest I have seen mine. Pulling hard at the time. No restrictions on performance or aircon observed.

I use Enviro+ 5W-40. While you have the coolant outlet off, it might be worth a reverse flush on the oil cooler. I don't know if the cooler has a thermostat. That'd be my first port of call.Quote:

Milto, given your coolant temp I'm thinking your engine oil temp is under control. Say 20C variant. I've seen almost 50C variant which has me wondering about the oil cooler....
What are you reading the temperatures with? Is it an IID Tool or Nanocom Evo - or an eBay "you-beaut" reader?
