Thread: Right hand turn noise

Appears to be a DSC/traction control issue as this warning light appears and brake lights have sorted themselves, still waiting on the brake light switch to arrive for fitment. What would trigger the DSC when cornering?

Wheel alignment right out or flat tyre / mismatched tyres.

or front wheel bearing / wheel speed sensor

What does the noise sound like?

wheel alignment was done recently all good there
tyres all the same size no problems there
Indie replaced worn lower outer suspension joints (bush) recently
thought the noise was like a grinding noise but appears to be the DSC for sure as the light comes up when the noise activates

i think the speed sensor or wheel bearing could be it, will need to investigate these as an option. thanks

Can you turn off the DSC and see if the noise is still there ? I would be suspecting a wheel bearing but only because i had a rear one fail and have read of similar symptons to yours being the start of a wheel bearing failure.

I had a couple of times when traction control would activate going round a corner. It was after i had replaced the LCA rear bushes and a wheel alignment had been done. It ended up sorting itself out.

I think a bit of crud found its way to the wheel speed sensor. Have you pulled the sensors out to see if they're clean?

just to update on this error message

all brakes were replaced with new including new brake sensor wires front and rear which solved the brake error light on dash.

ordered new brake light switch and speed sensor both arrived but errors have disappeared. DSC turned off solved the problem, and now with DSC on as normal no errors so seems to have solved itself without the need for the brake light switch or change in speed sensor. cheers
