Thread: D3 Engine Out and Rebuilt at Home in 10 days - Body On

Basically this guy's engine failed due to the oil pump housing failing. Putting aside planning, pre-purchase of parts and preliminary disassembly, the engine comes out in his garage with the body on overnight 28/29 April, engine rebuilt bottom and top end on 30 April and engine back in and running by 7am on 7 May - all with body on and in his garage.

A mighty effort on the part of this owner.

Bloody good effort considering I have read several of these where people have given up and lifted the body. I guess where theres a will theres a way.
