    Disco 4 Crankshaft trigger ring

    Hi,
I have a Discovery 4 with the engine in bits (waiting on a replacement crankshaft) The manual says you need to replace the crankshaft position sensor trigger ring if its been removed, which it has. Anyone know why this is the case, it looks fine to me. I know you need to use a special tool to fit it which I have yet to source. Thoughts?IMG_2365.jpg
    Cheers John

Likely due to the interference fit. After it is pressed off it loses its bore size. If you were to reuse it, it may not stay put.
The Isuzu 110. Solid and as dependable as a rock, coming soon with auto box😊
The Range Rover L322 4.4.TTDV8 ....probably won't bother with the remap..😈
