    Heavy girl

So I was at the weighbridge at the local tip and was surprised to see the reading at 2.89T AFTER dropping off my crap

I had a half tank of diesel and have fitted the following bits that add weight

APT front, sump, trans, and EAS bash plates
    APT rock sliders
    Dual battery
Rhino platform rack with King’s awning
Kings 9” spotties amd 40” lightbar
    Underhood compressor

    Does that weighbridge sound right?

I would suggest that as the weighbridge is being used to charge for service then it has to abide by the state’s weights and scales act, will be certified and should be accurate.

My TDV6 was 2570kg before adding accessories so my guess is so was yours, this means you've added 320kg of kit. It doesn't seem quite right but it still proves adding gear chews into you GVM really quickly.

    Yep, they are heavy.

My stats, from last weekend tip run. Car had a full tank, with me sitting in at the time of recording weight of 2,840Kgs (D4 2.7 SE)

    Extras include:

    bullbar and winch (poly rope)
    dual battery
    Rhino platform tray
    Awming
    cargo barrier
    Mitch hitch
    BFG KO2 (5 of)

I was pretty happy with this as i don't need to add too much more when we pack for trips. Most goes in the trailer.

If that’s the lot then going off the various sites specs you have about 150 +/- 10 kg in accessories( assuming all alloy plates). Seems heavy by a margin as kerb weight is 2500kg which includes average John and fuel. Any other weigh stations or any stuff you forgot. The compos with LT’s are definitely heavier then stock with HT’s but not enough to account for your weight. We shouldn’t punish ourselves and weigh these things lol.

They are strong and have a lot of sound deadening. I still can't get over how quiet my D4 is on the hwy.

Have literally just changed my 200 series cruiser for a D4 . The reason I changed is due to weight issues. My 200 series , realistically with only roo/bull bar on of significant weight with full load of fuel (130litres) and myself (110kg of muscle!! Ha Ha ) weighed in at 3060kg- leaving me 240 kg for my GVM. so add the copilot at 60 kg and left a trailer ball weight of 180kg ( van ball weight supposed to be 200-230kg ) put me overweight before I even added something like an engel or any other gear into the vehicle. I needed to spend approx $6k for GVM upgrade to 3.8t to go anywhere. I hopefully now have avoided this.

Yeah not mine lol. Once I added the backbone rack on top and the light bar up there, the wind noise is horrendous. Sad really.
