Thanks for the video - my wife and I really enjoyed it. The paintings look spectacular. Did you go onto Walcott Inlet and if not what were your reasons?
    Cheers

No Bruce, we didn't go as far as the inlet. Spoke to a couple of guys making their way back from there and were advised it was too difficult to take camper trailers down there. We weren't set up with tents etc, so we wouldn't have been able to camp overnight there, and the ladies weren't all that keen in any case. Sandflies, mozzies etc:-)

I enjoyed the video, but was surprised to see a Disco with no bull-bar in the bush! That would limit me to day only, but I see it has spot lights so I assume you travel at night.

    Calculated risk?

I have the same setup, ie driving lights but no bar. For where I live I do many night trips between Bunbury and Perth. The lights are good for this but there is not much wildlife on this road. When on hols out bush I will travel at daytime only as nights are for enjoying around a fire, not bashing along a road....

Nah, I thought about putting a bar on it when I bought it a couple of years ago, but didn't want the extra weight on top of the LR fuel tank, swingaway spare wheel and various other bits and pieces.
On long trips up north we don't tend to travel at night - beer o'clock is well before sundown.
I got the lights just as a bit of insurance, in case of emergency. They're actually of more use down where I live near Margaret River, where the kangaroos and plentiful and enormous - common to see them over 6ft tall. Even on short trips at night down here, those lights have saved me a couple of times. One drives slowly, cautiously and nervously down here at night:-)
